REINVIGORATING THE CLASSICS AND INVENTING THE MUSIC OF NOW

NEW RELEASE

FIVE INVENTI PORTRAIT SOLOS

by PETER DE JAGER

Earlier this year we commissioned Peter de Jager to write 5 short works for each of our 5 musicians. Peter cleverly designed these works to be part of a chamber music work when we can gather again, in the meantime we have asked our players to record these Portrait Solos in isolation. We hope you enjoy this offering. Every 2 weeks we will be releasing a new piece, the next will be Ben Opie on the 19th of September, 2pm.

Henry Justo is a viola player of exceptional talent. Watch him perform Peter de Jager's new work, 'Funeral March' from his Five Portrait Solos for Inventi. It's an intense, driven piece filled with passion and displays the true virtuosity that Henry has over his instrument.

PRE-ORDER OUR NEW ALBUMS

We are so excited to announce that Inventi have just finished recording two new albums! Please note, that we adhered to the current regulations with regards to COVID-19 in order to keep our musicians safe. In recent months we’ve been staying active with our online workshops and streaming into aged care centres and now we are working on editing not one but TWO new albums!

INVENTI ENSEMBLE II: WOMEN OF THE EARTH

The first is celebrating two composers we love dearly, Caerwen Martin and Melody Eötvös titled, ‘Women of the Earth’. This album will feature four epic pieces and will be due for release later in 2020. You can pre-order this album by clicking the link below.

INVENTI ENSEMBLE III: PEER GYNT

The second album features a new Inventi favourite, our ‘Peer Gynt’ - Grieg’s fabulous score in an arrangement by superstar, Glynn Davies. Grieg’s ‘Peer Gynt’ was an instant favourite by audiences and has inspired us to record it, as well as the hilarious, devastating and ridiculous stories that go with it. Due for release later in 2020.
