Inventi Ensemble stands as a pioneering force in the Australian classical music scene, renowned for their trailblazing performances and commitment to musical exploration. Founded in 2014 by Artistic Directors Ben Opie and Melissa Doecke, the ensemble has redefined the chamber music experience through a fusion of traditional repertoire and cutting-edge contemporary works.
From outstanding chamber music recitals in intimate venues to commanding performances with full orchestral arrangements in prestigious concert halls, Inventi Ensemble mesmerizes audiences with their impeccable musicianship and dynamic interpretations. Winners of the Melbourne Recital Centre’s Contemporary Masters Award, they consistently push the boundaries of classical music, seamlessly integrating elements of improvisation, multimedia, and cross-genre collaboration to create captivating and memorable performances.
In addition to their riveting live performances, Inventi is deeply committed to music education and community engagement. Inventi’s discography is growing, with their fourth album 1001 Nights debuting in April 2024 at No.2 on the Aria Classical Charts. Past releases include an impressive double album release in Nov 2020: Women of the Earth celebrating Australian female composers and Peer Gynt which debuted in the Top 20 of the ARIA Charts.
